Facts
Rudolf Prerost, born in 1947, filed a request for cost coverage for medical measures of the Disability Insurance as well as for the provision of a single room in Clinic Z. The Compensation Fund of the Canton of Zurich rejected this request by decree of June 14, 1979. The AHV Appeals Commission of the Canton of Zurich partially upheld the insured's appeal and obliged the Compensation Fund to cover the costs of the medical measures carried out from June 12, 1978. Both Rudolf Prerost and the Federal Office for Social Insurance filed an administrative court appeal against this decision.
In its judgment of May 6, 1981, the Federal Insurance Court dismissed Rudolf Prerost's administrative court appeal and upheld that of the Federal Office for Social Insurance, meaning that the costs of the medical measures from June 12, 1978 did not have to be covered. The court based its decision on a report from the Neurology Clinic X dated June 23, 1978, according to which the prognosis remained uncertain despite initial progress.
On December 7, 1981, Rudolf Prerost filed a petition for revision, requesting that the judgment of the Federal Insurance Court of May 6, 1981 be set aside insofar as it upheld the administrative court appeal of the Federal Office for Social Insurance.
