Facts
A. (born 1958), a Spanish national, entered Switzerland in 1993 and received a settlement permit in 1993. From 1997 to 2005, he received a disability insurance (IV) pension, and then was supported by social assistance from 2006 to 2021. Since April 2021, he has been receiving an old-age and survivors' insurance (AHV) pension with supplementary benefits.
The Migration Department of the Canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden revoked A.'s settlement permit in April 2020 and ordered his expulsion. The legal remedies filed against this were dismissed.
A. filed a public law appeal with the Federal Supreme Court and requested the reversal of the lower court's judgment.
Considerations
