Facts

[A.], born on 16 February 1977, has been suffering from paranoid schizophrenia for several years. In 2015, due to a worsening of his mental disorder, he was involuntarily placed in the U. Psychiatric Clinic. Upon his discharge, post-hospital care was ordered. After the expiration of this six-month limited post-hospital care, [A.] stopped taking his medication, and his paranoid schizophrenia worsened again, requiring a new involuntary placement in the U. Clinic.

Upon his discharge from the psychiatric clinic, the competent senior physician ordered, as part of post-hospital care under Art. 67k(1) of the Introductory Act to the Swiss Civil Code and the Registered Partnership Act of the Canton of Aargau (EGZGB/AG), long-acting injectable medication and monthly psychiatric follow-up.

[A.] appealed to the Family Court of Lenzburg to have the ordered measures lifted. After hearing [A.], the Family Court confirmed the ordered post-hospital care and limited it until 18 April 2017. The Administrative Court of the Canton of Aargau dismissed A.'s appeal against the decision of the Family Court.
