Facts
The appellant [X.] was convicted by the Cantonal Court of Zurich in the second instance for multiple qualified violations of the Narcotics Act (Art. 19 para. 1 lit. b in conjunction with Art. 19 para. 2 lit. a NarcA) partially in conjunction with Art. 25 CC to a conditionally executable custodial sentence of 18 months. She had repeatedly assisted her husband in bringing and selling cocaine in Switzerland.
Considerations
The Federal Supreme Court largely dismissed the appellant's appeal against the judgment of the Cantonal Court. It concluded that the appellant's rights were not violated during the interrogations and the taking of evidence. In particular, the appellant's confessions were admissible, as they had not been obtained through inadmissible confrontations. The sentencing by the lower court was also deemed lawful.
